Ichimoku Cloud
Also called: ichimoku, kumo
An all-in-one Japanese system showing trend, support/resistance, and momentum on a single chart.
Definition
Ichimoku Kinko Hyo (‘one-glance equilibrium chart’) was published by Goichi Hosoda in 1969. It plots five lines including the famous Kumo (cloud) — a shaded area projecting forward support/resistance.
Above the cloud: bullish bias. Below: bearish. Inside the cloud: no trend. Cloud breakouts are the canonical Ichimoku signal.
