Germany’s latest unemployment figures show the number of unemployed individuals at 2.993 million. This figure came in above the consensus expectation of 2.973 million, representing a 0.7% surprise. The previous month’s reading was 2.984 million.

Following the release, the Euro saw varied movements against major currencies. EURAUD was up 2.4 pips 15 minutes after the release, while EURCAD was down 8.1 pips.
