HFT (High Frequency Trading) EAs execute many trades in rapid succession, often holding positions for seconds or minutes. They rely on speed, low latency, and small price movements to generate profits.

Some prop firms allow HFT strategies, but many have restrictions. Check your prop firm's rules before using HFT EAs. FTMO and some others have banned pure HFT strategies.

HFT requires ECN/STP brokers with ultra-low spreads (under 0.5 pips), fast execution (under 30ms), minimal slippage, and no restrictions on trading frequency. A VPS near your broker's server is essential.

HFT EAs can be profitable but require perfect conditions: low spreads, fast execution, and stable market conditions. Small changes in spread or execution speed can turn profits into losses.

HFT is much faster than regular scalping. While scalpers hold trades for minutes, HFT systems may execute dozens of trades per minute. HFT requires institutional-grade execution speeds to be effective.
